HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELLERY
Sterling silver can easily tarnish over time.
This is especially true of handmade and artisan items which do not tend to be treated or plated the way that most commercial items are.
The best way to keep your handmade piece looking sparkly and new is to clean it regularly with warm soapy water and then dry and polish with a lint free or microfibre cloth.

I include a polishing cloth with every piece of jewellery sold. These are excellent for polishing your piece and removing fingerprints, dirt, residue and oils. However, please take care if your piece has a patina finish as over time these cloths can remove the black from the design.
The best thing to do if your piece does have a patina finish is to clean the silver bits only with the cleaning cloth provided and then use warm, soapy water and a lint free cloth on the rest of the item.

If your piece is heavily tarnished, I am always happy to offer a free polish for you (you would need to cover the cost of postage yourself). Please just get in touch via rawmooncreations@gmail.com to arrange.

Other steps you can take to keep your jewellery looking great for years to come:

-
Remember that some natural stones can be delicate so it is best to remove your jewellery while exercising or completing tasks where it could get knocked or damaged
-
Make sure chains are fastened before storing to avoid tangling and possible damage
-
Remove your jewellery before bathing, showering or swimming
-
Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, cleaning products, hand sanitisers, perfumes and lotions

All my jewellery is made from only the best available materials. I also choose very specific silversmithing techniques to ensure that each individual creation is as sturdy and hardwearing as it possibly can be. However, please bear in mind that some designs, particularly more dainty pieces, will naturally be more delicate and require a little more care when wearing.
Treat your Jewellery like the piece of art it is and with a little care and respect your piece should last a lifetime and beyond.
